Welcome to Royal Residence Studio

We operate from a cosy photography studio by the sea with true royal history. We specialise in pet photography, portrait photography, and couple photoshoots. Our studio accommodates both indoor and outdoor photoshoot enquiries.

The studio itself was once the home of Princess Ka’iulani, the last heir to the Hawaiian throne. Located at Cambridge Road in Hove, this historic space offers a unique blend of royal charm and modern comfort. Princess Ka’iulani, niece of King Kalākaua and Queen Liliʻuokalani, lived here after studying in England.

Whether you're here for a portrait session or to capture memories with your furry friends, we aim to make your experience truly royal.

Contact our Brighton and Hove studio today to book your next portrait or pet photography session at our historic location.

Meet the Team

Juliet and Archie are your dedicated royal resident photographers at our historic Brighton and Hove studio. When you book a session, you're most likely to be greeted by the smiley Juliet, who specialises in portrait and pet photography.

Archie, who works full-time as an IT specialist, lends his photography skills whenever he can. Whether you have one or both of our photographers on the day, rest assured that you'll receive the royal treatment.

We’ll let you know in advance if you can expect one or two of our royal resident photographers at your session.

Juliet, a Brighton and Hove Headshot Photographer, Pet Photographer and Couple Photographer
  • Juliet loves photographing animals and creating memorable portraits for you and your loved ones. In her free time, she enjoys writing or taking walks by the sea.

Archie, a Brighton and Hove Headshot Photographer, Pet Photographer and Couple Photographer
  • Whenever he's off from his full-time job (which he loves, so don't feel bad for him), Archie helps out in our studio. Outside of photography and his work as an IT expert, he loves adventures, and nothing makes him smile more than chasing birds.
